I was having a discussion with one of the closest friends I have in my real life, and he conveyed to me that he thought certain things going on in life seemed hopeless. For instance, my sister and I have only been fortunate enough to go to Japan because of scholarships from school that we have worked hard for. Currently, our school Financial Aid Office is having issues, so our friend was thinking that our chances of getting to Japan in time for school, or being able to survive the semester with so little money, seemed hopeless.
And yet when he told me that, I felt compelled to argue. I'll show you my reasoning by showing you what I told him. And this is something I have always firmly believed in:
But if you think that way, Jake (name changed), then you're automatically going to fail!
So even if there's pain at the end, I can't allow myself to just say, "Well, it's not gonna work probably, so too bad."
There were people who didn't believe that my sister and I had gotten to do some of the awesome things we got to do while in Japan. And that's fine, because people should believe what they want to. But the important lesson to be learned from it was not that so and so did this or so and so did that.....The important lesson was that you don't have to be a rich, lucky girl from a big family to become successful in the place of your dreams.
The point was that even if you are one of the poorest people out there, if you work hard and have big enough dreams and really believe in them, they can come true. If you never lose sight of those dreams, they will come true.
I want people to know that, because I think all of us have a dream hidden inside us somewhere. And if all it takes is a matter of faith and trust that it can happen, than how hard is that? ^_^ Just keep on believing and dreaming. You'll get there someday.
I'm gonna keeping working my hardest too!
Goodnight,

I have to hope for it, or what I am alive for?
Living for those happinesses and inspirations is one of the keys to true happiness, isn't it?
know all the things I did in Japan that brought me such extreme happiness were the kind of things people told me to give up on.
But I didn't, and they worked out. Some didn't, but some did. And the ones that did were worth it.
I really believe that if you believe in something strongly enough and just know it can happen, don't allow yourself to doubt it, then it can happen.
Once you feel the doubt, then you're setting yourself up for failure.
