There is a very old, fraying piece of newspaper which is sitting on my refrigerator door. It's been there for as long as I can remember, and all I know is that my mother cut it out of the newspaper after coming across it during a time in her life when she was going through serious strife. I always remember how much that passage means to her, and last night, as I opened the refrigerator and found it empty, I found myself reading the words too.
It's funny how such well-written words can empower you. So I'm going to share them with you.

Fearless

You are fearless
Yes you are
You have made it this far
You've taken your hits
But always you rise
Above the truth
Above the lies
They underestimate you
But that's okay
You know who you are
You are stronger than they
Inside you it burns
To extinguish it, they try
But you are made
From the same mold as I
You will hold steady
And you'll get your due
They aren't worth your tears
They aren't fearless
Like you
